Kristen Clanton was born and raised on the swamp in Tampa, Florida. She traveled west for a while, earning her MFA from the University of Nebraska. Her poetry and short fiction have been published in numerous journals, including Arkana, BlazeVOX, South Florida Poetry Journal, and the Sugar House Review, and she has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize. She currently teaches English and writing at a boarding school in Maine. This is her first novel.
